Email hello@ppchat.app and include your iPhone model, iOS version, and a short description of what happened. Please do not send a conversation export or diagnostic file unless it is relevant and you are comfortable sharing its contents.

Model download or update problems

1. Connect to a reliable Wi-Fi network and reopen the app.
2. Make sure your device has enough free storage for the model.
3. If the app asks before using cellular data, choose the option that matches your data plan.
4. Keep the app open while the download finishes, then retry the conversation.

The app checks for compatible custom models when it starts, downloads a required model to your device, and may update installed models from time to time. Downloading is networked; chat generation itself runs locally after the required model is installed.

Apple Intelligence and model selection

Apple Foundation Models depend on compatible hardware, iOS, Apple Intelligence settings, language, locale, and downloaded Apple assets. If an Apple model is unavailable, choose an available custom local model in the app. No model route is guaranteed to be available on every device.

Voice features

Voice playback may require a separate local voice-asset download. Check your network, storage, microphone permission, and speech settings. Apple may manage additional speech assets through iOS. Pride and Prejudice Chat does not send microphone audio to a Quest Portal cloud model.

Webpage analysis

When you ask the app to analyze a URL, your iPhone contacts that website directly. Check the address and your network connection. Some sites block automated retrieval or require a login and may not be available to the app. Retrieved content is processed by the on-device model, not a cloud language model.

Chats, memories, and profile data

Use the in-app controls to delete conversations, clear a character’s memories, or reset onboarding and profile data. Downloaded assets can also be removed through app or device controls. Apple backups may retain older app data according to your backup settings.

Optional donations

Donations are optional StoreKit purchases processed by Apple. They do not unlock characters or features and are not charitable contributions. For billing or refund help, use Apple’s purchase support tools.

Why does Pride and Prejudice Chat download a model when it starts?

The app uses custom local models as well as Apple Foundation Models. It checks for a compatible custom model at startup, downloads one when required, and may update it from time to time.

Does Pride and Prejudice Chat use cloud AI?

No. Model generation runs on your device. The shipping app does not use cloud language models for chat generation.

Can I delete my chats and memories?

Yes. Use the app controls to delete conversations, clear character memories, or reset onboarding and profile data. Uninstalling the app removes its local container, subject to your Apple backup settings.
