The short answer
P&P Chat is a private iOS app for talking to the characters of Pride and Prejudice, starting with Mary Bennet free at launch.
Launching August on iOS. One email when it's ready — that's all.
A conversation, not a generic chatbot
The app is built around the voices, manners, tensions, and comic timing of Jane Austen's novel. Ask Darcy to explain himself, let Elizabeth sharpen a judgment, or give Mary Bennet the patience the book never quite gave her.
The goal is not to make Pride and Prejudice modern. The goal is to let fans step back into the drawing room and ask the question they always wished someone had asked.
Private by architecture
P&P Chat is designed around an on-device model. That means conversations stay on your phone, there is no account, and chats are not sent to a server for us to read.
It also means the app can work offline, which is useful on flights, commutes, and every other place where one might reasonably wish for Mr. Darcy and have no Wi-Fi.
Built for Pride and Prejudice first
Broad Austen apps can be useful, but P&P Chat is intentionally narrow at launch. The product starts with depth: Mary Bennet free, then the Pride and Prejudice cast before any other book.
That focus matters because character voice is the product. If the conversation does not feel like the character, nothing else counts.
